Here is "Runaway" live from Abbey Road. This live version is ridiculous. If these guys are in town to perform and you are not there, then you are MISSING a once in a live time experience. period.

I know my girl likes to see me in regular fit jeans sometimes. Once you try to wear the right size of your jeans, it's a total different experience. Thanks to my girl, I found my right size half a year ago. lol I still prefer them loose fit, though.

Release: A-Scholars Live at Café Haag

Lost and found. I guess that is how I would describe this important piece of music. To make it short: Live at Café Haag was recorded on the 20th of Januar 2006. Back then we used to have a session once a week, played a couple of gigs and were even offered to play a tour in Germany. However, around this time we all were focused on our studies and I moved to east Germany and later to Finland. Live at Café Haag shows only a fragment of what we did and I believe that each one of us shares the same thought: we've got to sit down, write and record an album.

enjoy!

OKA: Portformat “Mothership” feat. Dudley Perkins & Georgia Anne Muldrow

Every time I visit my folks in Southern Germany, I meet up with Portformat (Ibrahim M’Bodji), a music producer with Senegalese and German roots, whom I have known for almost four years, for drinks and serious conversations about life, the world and of course music. I remember very well when he told me that he was going to have a feature with Dudley Perkins and Georgia Anne Muldrow on his debut album titled The Repeat Factor. I knew that it was going to be a banger back then, but when he played the song for me the first time I was thrilled. Take a listen to the , below.

I am honored to announce my first official blog post on www.Okayafrica.com (OKA) .
I'm sure you guys want to know how this happened, right? well, as I was doing some marketing for my current release "Born in the Land of a Thousand Hills" (www.mishoothedrumkit.com). I tried to get in touch with okayafrica and thought that they might be interested in what I do. I sent an e-mail with all press information and four months later I received a reply. They liked what I do and asked me if I liked to write for okayafrica and have my own blog. I was very surprised. A few emails later, I received the writers instructions and wrote my first post about my man Portformat. They posted it on the first of September 2010. Thank you for supporting the Afro and Afreuropean movement okayplayer!

Very professional work right there. I almost feel every one of the 52 instrumentals on this release. That's exactly my type of sound.
Midway Limited Edition Digipak 15€. Digital album 10€!

Freddie's Note:
Midway is a collection of instrumentals that i have been working on for the past year and half (or so). Because a lot of music styles inspire me, i just wanted to present my range as a hip hop/soul producer, not just with this album, but also me as a producer in general. I’ll continue to release free music and mixes, so please support by purchasing this album, and future albums when they become available.
